MAGITECH IN ISIMIIR:

MAGICAL SCALE:
Magitech is the assessment of magic, technology, and a race's ability to combine them both. Magic is divided into three base Magical Categories Arcane, Divine, and Eldritch. Technology is the Races skill with item creation.

STRONG DIVINE / STRONG TECH / WEAK ARCANE / WEAK ELDRITCH:
Dwarves are as a rule non-magical, they craft spells into items to contain their magic. Dwarves with Arcane Talents are rare at best. This means that Dwarves have had to craft Runes to achieve magical powers, drawing their powers from a god named Durkault. Without magic to aid them, Dwarves became masters of technology.
* Dwarves are Master Engineers and Mechanics (MW Tech)
* Dwarves are Strongly Religious and Excel at Rote Divine Magic (Priest and Paladin)
* Dwarves are Weak Mages, worse sorcerers, and are innately resistant to magic
* Dwarven Warlocks are incredibly rare
* Magictech is Runic Technology

STRONG DIVINE / WEAK TECH / WEAK ARCANE / WEAK ELDRITCH:
Divani are the offspring of humans that are infused with divine power from the gods. Unlike most people, the Divani are always handpicked by the gods and aren't considered random accidents. All Divani were specifically chosen. Divani are strongly religious and trend towards Divine Occupations of all types or classes favored by their gods (Ranger of Erelaine) or Fighter by Obroth for example. Since they are not a coherent race and rather individuals touched by dieties, they have no true arcane, mechanical, or engineering traditions.
* Divani are weak Engineers and Mechanics
* Humans are Highly Religious and masters at all Divine Magic (Favored Soul, Priest, and Paladin)
Divani rarely Mages or sorcerers
Divani Warlocks are rare but of considerable skill channeling directly from angels of their patron deities
* Magictech is usually from humans they live among. They rarely create their own items

MEDIUM DIVINE / MEDIUM TECH / MEDIUM ARCANE / MEDIUM ELDRITCH:
The humans are the middle level of all traditions. Human strength doesn't lie so much in competence or racial skills. It comes from rituals and traditions, personal desire, and human adaptability and willingness to bend and break time honored rules. Humans are middle of the chart when it comes to magical prowess and thus have to study to evolve their powers making them good wizards and priests.
* Humans are moderate Engineers and Mechanics
* Humans races are moderately Religious and are competent at Divine Magic
* Humans are competent Mages and are competent sorcerers
* Humans races make competent Warlocks
* Magictech is usually ritualized and they make Divine and Arcane items through rituals

WEAK DIVINE / WEAK TECH / STRONG ARCANE / STRONG ELDRITCH:
The Prime and Tieflings are Arcane and spontaneous casters by nature though not to the extent of elves. They lack strong Technological advancement. The Prime rely on 'lesser races' do the work while the Tiefling are the castoffs of their societies and often are two busy trying to survive to learn crafts at a high level. However, both the Prime and Tieflings are magnets for Eldtritch and Sorcerous powers. Great powers seem to take an interest in channeling through these creatures and they make powerful warlocks.
* These races are awful Engineers and Mechanics
These races are not Religious and are terrible at Divine Magic
These races are excellent Mages but are natural sorcerers
These races make natural Warlocks
* Magictech is usually stolen or purchased

WEAK DIVINE / STRONG TECH / STRONG ARCANE / WEAK ELDRITCH:
Elves are innately magical and possess innate sorcerous abilities. They cast spells freely from within their spirits and manifest their dream energies into coherent magical forms. Their reliance on magic has stunted their technological abilities as they usually find magical cheats to do what other races need technology to achieve. Elves minus the Gaemanians, are usually poor wizards because their ability to cheat at casting spells from their own wills instead of summoning the Arcane energy through rituals.
* These races are weak Engineers and Mechanics but Master craftsmen (MW)
These races are not Religious and are terrible at Divine Magic
These races are occasional Mages but are natural sorcerers
These races make natural Warlocks but usually channel Tuath or Fey Powers
* Magictech is crafted through Sigil magic

DWARFTECH:
Dwarftech is what some call the combined achievements of the dwarven people. Those achievements are formidable. Dwarves have invented Dams, piston powered doors, cannon technology, and Runetech.

MECHANICAL:
Dwarves are masters of engineering, especially mechanical devices. Dwarven devices are created functionally, with design elements added as afterthoughts. These items are powered usually by coal or steam technology though pneumatic and hydromatic devices are often installed in doors. Dwarves prefer stone, iron, and steel for common devices. If they are lucky, they get heavier and stronger metals like Adamantium.

RUNETECH:
A Combination of engineering and divine power. Durkault is supposed to be the power source for all Runetech and this makes Rune technology proprietary to the dwarven race and those things like warforged or golems considered 'Dwarven' in nature. Thusly, a Runecannon may work perfectly for a dwarf but will not fire for an elf unless they gained a particular signature from dwarves.

A 'Friend' Rune from the Dwarven Empire is a blessing to another member of a non-dwarven race or clan.

Because of the Divine nature of Dwarven Runetech, Mages can try to imitate but have not been able to truly duplicate Runes. Mages can create the runechips, inscribe glyphs or sigils, but cannot seem to make them more than impermanent copies. In addition, Mageborn runechips cannot fool real runes thus, Dwarven Runedoors won't open to even the most meticulously crafted copies of Runekeys.

The exception to this rule are Godghouls who gain the divine abilities of a Dwarf when drinking Durkault infused creatures or the Godsblood. For a small time, they can replicate the powers of a Durkault Dwarf because they have the divine blood in them.

RUNES:
POWER TYPE: Divine, Inscribed, Permanent
PRIMARY USERS: Dwarves and Warforged

IN SHORT:
The secret to Runetech has not yet been cracked.

FAERIETECH:
Faerietech is what some call the combined achievements of the Faerie people. Those achievements are formidable. Faeries are magical and infuse their creations with magical energy. Their reliance on magic has stunted their creativity with science and engineering but they make up with a relentless obsession with artistic perfection.

ARTISTIC PERFECTION:
Elf crafting is all about artistic perfection. Elves expect that any object they create will be infused with magic, therefore they make incredibly beautiful artistic pieces that are designed to impress even the eldest observer. Elves can take years to complete a piece and every work they create is a Masterpiece. They pay for the most expensive ingredients, spend weeks on the smallest details and value a weapons, pieces of armor, and even a piece of rope as objects worthy of the best make.

SIGILTECH:
Elven Enchantments are powered by Arcane Sigil magic. Sigil magic is created by the power of Faerie, in essence, the coalescent magic of pure dreams. Elven magic is beautiful, multi-colored, with sounds like tinkling bells, and harp strums.

Elves cast spells directly into their creations infusing a product with repeated castings of personal magics during the forging process. This manner of casting is exhausting and often involved multiple if not dozens of casters continually investing their spell magic while the forge is hot.

This infusion process imbues the object with magic so that it radiates powerfully and is in essence a completely enchanted item. Most other races craft the item them enchant them.

FAERIE MAGIC:
Faerie magic is purely sorcererous and is innately and spontaneously casted by the being. Sigil magic is pure magic drawn into a pattern and then cast. Elves are known for tracing sigils into the very air and then pushing the spell towards the target.

SIGILS:
POWER TYPE: Arcane, Sorcery, Fae
PRIMARY USERS: Faerie creatures, Elves, and Prime

IN SHORT:
Elves value artistry backed by magical power over innovations. Thus, Elves have perfected what they craft but no longer innovate new mechanical ideas because of their reliance on magic.

HUMANTECH:
Humantech is what some call the combined achievements of the human people. Those achievements are formidable. Humans are technological and can cast magic though they do not usually have the powerful essence of magic within them. Since humans are usually forced to study and scrabble for arcane and divine magic, they have amazing and storied traditions of rituals and history surrounding their magic.

COMPETENT BUT FUNCTIONAL:
Humans are competnet at everything they try and have immense versatility. heir inner desires for mastery allows them to exceed expectations in any field of endeavor. Elves make more beautiful and intricate things, dwarves make stronger and more enduring things, but humans can produce items in a large scale and have mastered the quick and dirty method of achieving success. It's not pretty but it's functional.

RITUAL TECH:
Humans use rituals passed down from their churches or their Arcane Schools to duplicate magical processes both arcane and divine. The human desire to improve, copy, and systematize all things allows them to forge virtual production lines cranking out low quality but functional magical items.

RITUAL MAGIC:
The kernel of magic is present in a slice of the human public but it is nowhere as strong as elven or prime skills. Conversely, their ritual magics are evident in their religious rituals and powers. Dwarven religious power is eternal and staid, but human religion is ever changing, ever growing.

RITUALS:
POWER TYPE: Arcane/Divine, Wizardry/Cleric, Learned
PRIMARY USERS: Humans

IN SHORT:
Humans can imitate traditions from other races, not quite as well but overall with a competence and functionality that makes other races pause. When adding the human trend for mass manufacturing instead of precision crafting they churn out lots of middling quality but numerous items, mages, and priests.
