THE TORENSTEIN KINGDOM (TRAKALDAR):

The Battered nation of Trakaldar is unified in name only, because of the significant loss of  life and the devastation of communities across Trakaldar, the lands have no central government, only a smattering of isolated and terrified kingdoms scattered days, weeks, or months from help. Trade is occasional and infrequent as most trade routes are infested with the minions of 'the Dark' and caravans that once flourished have been wiped out with disturbing ease. So, as the villagers flee towns for safety, they retreat to the old kingdoms that once provided a unified rule across the forested lands. The greatest of the small kingdoms is the Torenstein Kingdom. It's well-made castles and keeps are strong and their Wasagnaarian priesthood flourishing. The king and Queen and three sons are wise and brave and well-respected and they have provided unyielding support to the vagabond city which now surrounds their fortresses. They have spent much effort reinforcing their kingdom with stone walls, heavy patrols, and strict rules. The King is a stalwart Whelm Follower as is his eldest son, Prince Vongoth a Whelm Knight. The middle prince, Roderick is a Paladin of Encauste, and The youngest son, Prince Cerunnos is a mage of some reputation even though the people of Trakaldar are largely superstitious and hateful of wizardry.

A campaign to rid the Torenstein Empire of 'the Dark' has met with some success and the family has cleared a ten mile radius of trees and transplanted forestland into farmlands. Sunlight shines on one battered spot of Trakaldar and the Temples of Wasagnaar, Whelm, Encauste, and Valece, now shine in the sunlight. Whether this success is due to the strange magicks of young Prince Cerunnos  is a matter of speculation.
