TRAKALDAR: Trakaldar is perhaps the worst country in all of Isimiir to live in, it's forest is alive, it is thoroughly evil, and it actively wars against the people who live in it. Those who fall to it's are often resurrected into monstrosities that defy the imagination and threaten the sanity of those unfortunate enough to encounter them.
Today, the trees tower hundreds of feet over the viewer, brambles, roughshod earth, and predatory plants inhibit the movement of those who walk it's depths. Often paths that a man has walked on yesterday will be gone or diverted by tomorrow. The ground is littered with the bones of those who have fallen.
The trees are so clustered and leafy that the world is pitched in darkness and when snatches of sky are seen through the leaves, the sight is otherworldly. The skies are stormy and dark purplish with snatches of red lightning arcing through the forever night. The skies howl with unholy fury and the rains are often made of blood, toads, bones, or some other oddity.
Odd plants thrive and most are carnivorous, mobile, and deadly. At time the lands rumble and quake and whole sections of the forest rearrange themselve as if they were clay in the hands of an unknown master.
The monsters ruthlessly hunt each other and the humans they cross and pockets of magic are often encountered that alter those caught within them. Tales of men who are transformed into beasts, creatures and witches from fairy tales, and horrible twisted giants are more than just fancy.
Luckily for those caught within the forest's depths, there is a savior. A god named Wasagnaar fell from the skies in PC 0212 and began to organize a defense. The people rallied to him and began to fight back. This war has been in full force for hundreds of years and continues to this day.
