THE RUNEFORGED GOLEM:

The Warforged were bred for one purpose, the Great Cataclysm. This war not only involved the massive armies of the Khar'Q'aan's but also involved the gods. The cost of life in this Epic War totaled in the millions and touched every civilized nation as well as dragging in the Dwarven, Elven, Rhamier, Trakaldan, Skraelund, and Kai Lin Kingdoms that had stayed neutral in all of the previous centuries.

To make greater, more sturdy warriors, volunteers were taken from the races and placed into constructed bodies of wood, steel, and a myriad other forms. Most cultures chose constructs that favored their own cultural outlook.

Dwarves made broad, stout warriors of stone and metal, Elves made beautiful cystalline and wooden bodies that reflected things from spiders to elegant winged humanoids, Lazarian Humans often built large and ponderous constructs replete with holy symbols, Goblins from Guavhardiim made monsters of flesh and steel, Trakaldans imitated their God Wasagnaar and painted their creations black, and the Kai Lin constructed lithe and agile samurai.

In the end, the Dwarves, the leaders of the movement and masters of the Forging Process created the Runforged, Warforged who blended metal and magic in a gloroius whole. The runeforged magical additions looked great, added extra powers to the Warforged, and were magic friendly hosts to the human, elven, and dwarven mages, sorcerors, and priests.

Gone was the heavy plating and investments were made in making the Runeforged lighter, less armored, but able to use Rune Chips, Runic Armor, and Runic Blasts. The Magical bonuses allowed more of the Runeforged personality to remain (no WIS Penalty) but also made it slightly more vulnerable (No CON Bonus). 

However, the cost would make the program too expensive to continue. Runeforged cost five times the normal amount and the innate magicks made the hardiest souls seem to lose their minds. Reports of Runforged casting fireballs indiscriminately into their own troops were met with horror and after the Catastrophe at Munt Valant, the program was deemed a failure.

To this day less than one thousand Runeforged still remain operational and more were cast adrift, killed, or exiled as their behavior became to erratic to control.

RUNIC WARFORGED FEATS:

RUNIC BLAST (Runeforged):
You gain a Runic Blast.
Prerequisites: None
Benefit: Your Runic Blast does 1d6 at a range of 60 feet, Full action, incurs attacks of opportunity in melee combat.

IMPROVED RUNIC BLAST (Runeforged)
Your Runic Blast increases in power and scope.
Prerequisites: Runic Blast Racial Ability, BA +3.
Benefit: Your Runic Blast now does 3D6 and has a Range of 120 feet.
Normal: Your Runic Blast does 1d6 at a range of 60 feet.

GREATER RUNIC BLAST (Runeforged)
Your Runic Blast increases in power and scope.
Prerequisites: Runic Blast Racial Ability, Improved Runic Blast, BA +9.
Benefit: You Runic Blast now does 5D6 and has a Range of 180 feet.

RAPID RUNIC BLAST (Runeforged):
You fire your runic blasts at twice the speed.
Prerequisites: Dex 13, Point Blank Shot.
Benefit: Your runic blast now takes a Standard action.
Normal: Your Runic Blast is a Full Action.

RUNIC CHAIN:
Your Runic Blast hits another enemy after the first one.
Prerequisites: Improved Runic Blast.
Benefit: Your Runic Blast strikes a second opponent within 30 feet of the first for -1d6 Damage.
Note: An Improved Runic Blast does 2d6, Greater Runic Blast will do 4d6.

IMPROVED RUNIC CHAIN:
Your Runic Blast hits another enemy after the first one.
Prerequisites: Runic Chain BA +6.
Benefit: Your Runic Blast strikes three opponents within 30 feet of the first for -1d6 Damage.
Note:  An Improved Runic Blast does 2d6, Greater Runic Blast will do 4d6.

RUNIC ARMOR:
You have put Magical Runes into your armor.
Prerequisites: Warforged
Benefits: Add +1 Magical AC to your armor.

IMPROVED RUNIC ARMOR:
You have improved the runes in your armor. Most of your armor is covered in runes.
Prerequisites: Runic Armor
Benefits: Add 1 Runic Defensive Ability to your Runic Armor.

GREATER RUNIC ARMOR:
Your armor is covered in runes. You are mighty in your defenses.
Prerequisites: Improved Runic Armor, +4 BA
Benefits: Add a second Runic Defensive Ability to your Runic Armor.
