ZEBRATAUR: The Zebrataur are the smaller cousins of Centaurs that roam the grasslands of Rhamier and also certain parts of Xantebwe. Unlike their more agressive and larger cousins, the Zebrataur are shy and retiring preferring to run rather than fight  when threatened. However, warriors of the tribe are reknown for their abilities with spears and lances and their archery is something to be feared.


Zebrataur spend most of their lives in tight knit tribes that roam the plains from waterhole to waterhole in a free and exciting life. When young male Zebrataur reach the age of 15 summers, they can choose to leave the tribe and go on a spirit quest to become adults. This period is usually a year or two of roaming the world and exploring it. Most return to their families after their spirit quest is fulfilled.


Zebrataurs As Characters:

CULTURE: A zebrataur Spirit Shaman is usually a tribe’s designated leader and speaker. Zebrataur characters possess the following racial traits.

+2 Strength, -2 Wisdom. Zebrataurs are strong but uneduated in the ways of the civilized world.

Medium size.

A zebrataur’s base land speed is 40 feet.

* Lowlight vision out to 60 feet.

* +1 natural armor bonus.

* Spears and lances are a racial weapon and all centaurs are proficient in them despite class limitations. In addition Centaurs gain a +1 to hit with any spear or lance.

* A zebrataur employing a lance deals double damage when it charges, just as a rider on a mount does.


Automatic Languages: Sylvan, Elven. Bonus Languages: Common, Gnome, Halfling.

Favored Class: Scout.
